SYDNEY Sixers won a contract by signing the most beautiful young Australian spinner, Lloyd Pope, 18 years old.
Nicknamed the "Next Warne", Pope recently became the youngest bowler to claim a seven-goal pbad in the Sheffield Shield, taking 7/87 for South Australia against Queensland at Adelaide Oval.
Pope's amazing performance was won in an impressive Under-19 World Cup, where he made a name for himself by demolishing England with 8/32 numbers.
Pope will join his Sixers teammates next month, in anticipation of the opening of the season against Perth Scorchers at SCG on Saturday, Dec. 22.

The Pope's Big Bash Local, reigning champions Adelaide Strikers, could not be part of the rookie team because they are already stacked in the special effects department with Afghan superstar Rashid Khan and young Liam O'Connor
"We have Khan, the best T20 player in the world, and a full team of 18 players. We rewarded the players who won the trophy last season. O'Connor entered the final team when Rashid left and did a great job for us, "SACA High Performance Manager Tim Nielsen recently told the Advertiser.
"I think Pope has all the skills to succeed in T20 cricket but, unfortunately, in the short term, it's unlikely that he's with the Strikers."
