Eternal Doom is preparing to make his official debut at QuakeCon 2018, giving viewers their first look at what fans expect from the gore shooter. The images will debut during the QuakeCon keynote, which will be broadcast live for those who can not attend.

The game first made its surprise debut at E3 2018 this year, after a long period of silence regarding a sequel to the excellent reboot of 2016. A brief teaser was aired at Bethesda's E3 2018 Showcase, giving players a quick glimpse of the demons that invaded the living kingdom, a place that looked like an ancient Earth. A rhythm of familiar shots took over as we were finally presented once again to the Doom Slayer.

As he was loading a shotgun and getting ready to face the hordes of demons, we ended up in hell during the presentation. It's been a while, but the familiar style of Doom and his melting face of kindness are certainly a sight for sore eyes.

We did not see much more of Eternal Doom away, but we were promised a lot of things. Creative Director Hugo Martin said tracking would have a more powerful "Doom Slayer" and a selection of "badbad demons". There are also some surprises in store, hammered Martin, but we are essentially in the dark about everything that is offered.

I hope that, following our first legitimate look at the gameplay on August 10, Bethesda will let additional details slip on other aspects of Eternal Doom. Like a demon who gives up his skull, we are dying to find out more.
