The duo was at the heart of the best moments of the local team throughout the match. Martial was reportedly kicked off by Idrissa Gueye for a penalty kick that allowed Jose Mourinho's men to take the lead after 27 minutes.
Pogba was once again a sensation with a long run in the lead, but was relieved when Jordan Pickford's superb rescue came back to take the rebound.
The French midfielder then turned to his compatriot's provider, Martial, to score his fourth goal in three league games with a sensational effort for the first time just after the break.
The Toffees never seemed to claim a fourth consecutive league win, but it could have been a different story if they had taken advantage of previous opportunities for Gylfi Sigurdsson, André Gomes and Bernard.
The visitors finally managed to pull one out when Sigurdsson turned a penalty 13 minutes from the end, but United held out for a win that put them above Everton and five points from the top four. .
Then, United will go to Bournemouth Saturday noon for the coup de sending. Everton, who moves to ninth place, hosts Brighton.

SUBJECT OF DISCUSSION
The puzzle that is Paul Pogba. When the French international was good, it was very good – but there have been times when everyone has scratched their heads. An exhibition while in action saw him greatly contributing to the attack, with his goal and his help to reward powerful racing and intelligent vision.
His combination with Martial on the left is a real benefit for the Red Devils, but Pogba's love for the drama remains negative for his game. The jerky run for the penalty was useless and he was lucky that the Pickford rescue was backward. Some in the middle of the field led Everton to win the ball and launch the attack that led to their kick. This set up a nervous and avoidable finale and was another example of why the very talented star continues to divide the opinion.
