Nick Stevens, a former star player, will be sued for perjury as a result of a legal gesture rarely used by the head of the Public Prosecution Service of Victoria.

The Director of Public Prosecutions, Kerri Judd, QC, confirmed Tuesday brought a direct action in the County Court in the Stevens case, which effectively means that she sent him back in judgment.

The former Carlton player, 38, was accused of false testimony in Ringwood Court magistrates in December 2014 when he was accused of badaulting his former partner

He stated that he did not know a woman named Samantha Nash. In June, the court heard Stevens and Ms. Nash exchange more than 600 text messages and videos of a badual nature after a meeting at a football event in 2012.

Stevens also made a lewd video of him- even with a photo of Mrs. Nash. 19659009] [ad_2]
