By November 2018, Fortnite had reached 200 million players. almost equal to the population of Brazil. In June 2018, Fortnite had 125 million registered players, an increase of 60%. That's more than 5 times that number of players declared by Epic in January 2018.

In October 2018, Epic Games raised $ 1.25 billion from a group of investors including KKR & Co., Vulcan Capital and Kleiner Perkins. That gave Epic Games a value of nearly $ 15 billion.
