Mega Man X Legacy

There has been more than 30 years after the launch of the first Mega Man and as part of the celebrations, Capcom has released two Legacy Mega Man X collections. If you've never played this game, it's the # 39; story of Mega Man X – a "replica android" aka Reploid that has free will, human intelligence and emotions.

Using the technology that created X, an archaeologist named Dr. Cain, who discovered it in some ruins, produced reploids that eventually became thugs and triggered an uprising. So, Mega Man X now has the responsibility to stop them. The story line actually has a surprising depth and makes it more enjoyable.

Despite being a clbadic we have played many times before, the game was always cool and fluid. The game is almost the same in X2 and X3. X4 is slightly different – you can also play as Zero and the game really makes a distinction of gameplay between the abilities of the two characters. It's very refreshing after playing X2 and 3.

The second collection starts with X5, which is still fine, although the tutorials are more interruptive than useful. X6 is another gem – the main characters X and Zero are doing well and boss battles are much more fun. The worst game in the series is X7. You barely play X and the dialogues are written by a four-year-old. Although it's crap, the collection would not be complete without it. The last game is the X8 series – it features some great animated scenes and it redeems itself completely after the disaster X7

If you are new to the series, we recommend playing it in rookie mode which makes it easier for beginners to play without suffering damage. The collection also includes X Challenge, which is a boss-rush mode where you face the monsters of the game one after the other. The mode is available on both versions and all characters are the same in both versions.

One of the best additions to traditional publishing is the museum, which contains everything you want to know about Mega Man, including a selection of works of art, from music, animations, trailers and related products such as toys. It's a fun way to capture some of the story behind the game.
