BioWare released a 20-minute gameplay video for its next futuristic shooter Anthem revealing details of the game's combat system and four-player raids.
Ben Irving, lead producer for the developer, served as the narrator of the video, which offers a good overview of what players can expect from Anthem .
Anthem Gameplay Video
The new gameplay video Anthem that runs for just under 20 minutes, features a mission called Scars & Villainy. The Scars refer to invaders who are always in conflict with the Freelancers, who are the characters controlled by the players. In the mission, freelancers are sent to investigate scars for getting their hands on some sort of acid weapon
Friends of any level are allowed to team up in these missions, with players allowed to join missions even when they are already underway. Missions can include random events, and in the video, he came in the form of a powerful titan.
Some aspects of the gameplay that were shown in the gameplay video Anthem were flying through the stunts to prevent the jetpacks from overheating and discovering secret underwater caves. The video highlights the combat system, the team work and the capabilities of the javelin exosuits, culminating in a boss fight against something called the swarm tyrant. at the E3 2017, comparisons with Destiny have not ceased. With cooperative combat, robotic suits and jetpacks, Anthem seemed to share many elements of gameplay with Destiny, Endless Spray Anthem vs. Destiny debates. The gameplay video does not do much to differentiate Anthem and Destiny especially because it does not reveal much of the history of ] Anthem developed by BioWare. The practical demonstration of Anthem at E3 2018 received very good reviews, but it did not do much to illustrate the history of Anthem and that the game was done by BioWare. ] Electronic Arts likely asked BioWare to develop Anthem because of its RPG experience. The players were waiting for more details on the history of Anthem but BioWare kept this in silence.
The release date of Anthem was postponed from the autumn of 2018 to the beginning of 2019, which means that the launch of the game is still in several months. We expect gameplay videos like this to be the driving force behind the futuristic game, but without an idea of what's going on in Anthem's universe BioWare could have struggling to make players excited for the next game.
