On the occasion of World Emoji Day, Facebook published an infographic revealing the most popular emojis on the social networking giant's main site and on its mobile messaging platform.
Among the facts revealed one day before the start of the official holiday Tuesday, July 17:
- More emojis are sent by Messenger on New Year's Day than any other day , a fact that applies to all countries where Facebook operates.
- According to Facebook, twice as many users like "on its basic social media platform, with users" twice as often as last year.
- Facebook has more than 2800 emojis in its library, and more than 80 percent of them – 2300 – are used each day
- More than 900 million emojis are sent every day without text on Messenger – or as Facebook says, "A ? is worth 1,000 words."
- The messages are also not immune to emojis: more than 700 million they present themselves in F
Naturally, the celebration of Facebook also included some limited edition features, such as a setting of World Emoji Day themed camera and a text background.
