Melbourne returns to attack after the Warriors spat the ball early in their set. Storm is 20m away when Slater races for the line. He just happens a little but when he gets up, he plays the ball badly. Rotation! Warriors survive and get a scrum on their 10m for their efforts.
The Warriors' defense does enough to stop the momentum and the Munster grubber is absorbed by RTS 10m off his line.
Addo-Carr puts the storm on the front foot with a big comeback of Lino's kick. it is 40m before being stopped halfway.
The Warriors find themselves just short on the last tack and the Storm defense falls again. Storm starts their set 2m from their line.
MEL TWO! Storm pushes his lead through Smith's boot opposite.
WAR DROPOUT! Storm knocks RTS again and he refuses an exit. Things go wrong as Johnson tries another short kick and he gives the kickoff! This is a penalty of 10m.

Melbourne with a great chance to attack here after the Warriors were penalized for not being out late in the set. What a game of Warriors! They run out of abandonment and Kata returns the ball to RTS to recover. RTS gets it and runs for 20m. It is tackled but the storm keeps it on the ground so it's a penalty. Johnson finds contact almost half. What a change.
WAR DROPOUT! Storm pbades the length of the field and grubber on the last one. RTS is here to stop but it has nowhere to go. Just shows how deadly storms are. 90m in the 60s.
WAR NO TRY! Kata is denied by the Bunker after a big line shot on the left wing. He throws a tackle with 10m to go and the storm sweeps to stop him. He went down but reaches out to score. The replays show that it was plated before reaching out, so it's a double movement. Storm Penalty and they hit 35m on the field

The Warriors' defense is left behind by 30s after such a strong performance in the first half. Both sides put everything in it but no defense moves. In real Storm mode, they hit at half-time and head to the hangars with their heads. The Warriors attack looked good this afternoon – a lot of moves and unloads, but the Storms are a tough team to beat on their line. Warriors attack right but Beale's fastball at Fusitua is cut off and the wingman hits it. The chance to attack failed and it is even worse because the Warriors are penalized a few moments later. Storm starting a new series at mid-race
Storm is penalized for not releasing in the tackle then the Warriors throw a new set at 30m.
The Warriors' defense stops Slater attacking the right wing and connects him in touch. The Warriors throw themselves on their 10m
Mannering plays the ball halfway for the last tackle and there is no one to take it! Storm dives on the free ball and gets a free set to start halfway. Strange mistake there warriors. Luke was not in sight.
Yikes. Storm attacks the left wing with numbers and it's with Slater. He looks to draw and pbad, but he walks to the left wing for a throw on the arm that allows him to reach the sky. Rare mistake from the back here. The Warriors throw themselves on their 20m.
The Warriors blow their luck because RTS does not pbad to anyone and the Storm recovers it. To make matters worse, the Warriors are then penalized for playing the ball in contact. Storm finds contact with the penalty and starts his set halfway.

The Warriors come out of jail after the Storm rumbled within 10m of the line. Asofa-Solomona takes care of Scott and he is quickly attacked. Scott tries to get rid of himself but he loses control of the ball and it's a blow. The Warriors throw themselves on their 10m.
Storm wins a penalty early in their set after Mannering is penalized for being offside. Smith finds the halfway point for the new Storm set.
Storm has a solid set with some big races in the middle of the field. 57m won on the last tack and it's a weak kick from Munster on the last. RTS recovers and shakes one to make a few meters. Finally, he descended on the 20m Warriors.
Storm transforms a 35m set into a territory gain with Smith's precise kick finding a contact. The Warriors crashed on their 10m with a scrum.

Another promising set of Warriors sees them do 55m on the set. They use the width very well at the beginning of the game. Johnson goes high on the last tackle but it's a bit deep for the pursuers. Slater takes it and wraps it just outside his 10m.
The Warriors arrive halfway after the kickoff and Johnson finds contact with his kick on the final tack. Melee Storm on their 10m.
WAR TRY! The warriors cross Beale. At the last tackle at 10m, Johnson floats on the right and Fusitua takes off to take it. He is 2m long and is wrapped, so he uses a bounce to dump on Beale and he dives to score. Improvisation at its best. Warriors returns in the lead with a Johnson pearler on the right touchline
The Warriors are penalized because the Storm are penalized for not being out at the beginning of the set. Johnson finds contact to give the Warriors a new set 30m from the Storm line
The Warriors have a chance to retaliate after Hoffman coughs into the ball for a touch. Warriors fight 10m inside their half.
MEL TRY! Storm is already in the game after a magnificent Hughes pbad that places Chambers through a hole on the right. He snatches RTS in the backfield and he is in goal to score. Not the departure from the side of the house.
A good start to the storm and they have 52m in their opening set. They go high on the last but RTS is everywhere and returns it just outside its 10m. The Warriors respond with good hits and make 49m in their set. Johnson is aiming for the right corner but Addo-Carr everywhere. Good start on both sides
Warriors start to do things on a sunny Smart Mount
It has been confirmed that Bunty Afoa started on the Warriors' bench.
Afoa returns only three weeks after being dislocated against Cronulla on June 29th. The two players to give up the extended bench are hooker Karl Lawton and center Anthony Gelling.
