Makayla Phillips, America's Candidate Got Talent looks very much like Ariana Grande sang a hit of Demi Lovato and won everything by being her -even.
As the audition tour peaked on Tuesday, the 15-year-old from Canyon Lake, California, won fans – and a place in the next round – with a performance of Lovato's "Warrior".
Confidently, Phillips hit all the great notes and filled the feelings room. Judge Heidi Klum was blown away. "I think you are absolutely amazing," said the German model. "I mean, I love the whole package I love your smile, I love your way of projecting to everyone, your voice is amazing."
And, just like that – boom – Klum hit the golden buzzer that sends Phillips through "I just think I found the winner," she shouted as gold confetti came out ceiling.
