Mark Humphries, a useless co-host, gave a hilarious farewell to the game show after his last broadcast on Channel 10 yesterday.
The show will be replaced by Grant Denyer's new game show Celebrity Name Game which starts on Monday at 18h.
Humphries, who co-organized useless with Dr. Andrew Rochford, thanked the viewers for their support in a message he posted on Facebook.
"If you're reading this now, Australia useless was murdered, "wrote Humphries.
"After 184 episodes, it's time for the series to rest in this great Australian games cemetery alongside unforgettable titans of the genre, such as Sleeve, Hot series and Australian hazard.
"Thanks to all the fans who stuck to the show throughout our start-up period. It took me several weeks to understand that the red light meant that the camera was on. I thank you for your patience.
"Thank you to the crew who have been extremely professional in dealing with my incessant and useless song and dance numbers. And a special thanks to our Steve Philp for a brilliant warm-up for pressing the Spotify Playlist on demand.
"Thanks to the candidates, who were the real stars of the show if you do not include Andrew and myself.
"Thanks to the team at Ten Styling, which made me look like a million dollars. And thanks to the account team who made our $ 2000 price look like $ 2000.
"Thanks to Endemol Shine's team and Ten's executives for taking the risk of a stranger like me." What a terrible mistake. But one for which I will always be grateful.
"And finally, thanks to Dr. Andrew Rochford. Although I hoped to be paired with Dr. Harry Cooper, you became a true friend and you managed to get through those long days of shooting in 5 episodes.
"This whole experience has been an absolute privilege. I feel really lucky. "
He signed the message of 'Mark' I am available to welcome insiders"Humphries".
Entertainment reporter Peter Ford announced in February that useless was going to be abandoned by Channel 10.
The television network then announced in March that useless will be replaced by Celebrity Name Game, a game show format created by the former friends Stars Courteney Cox and David Arquette.
Here's how it works: Two teams of two candidates (think mother and son, best friends) get help from a celebrity as they try to describe the names of movies, singers, characters, etc.
The show will be hosted by Grant Denyer and celebrities who should feature on the Australian version, including I am a Celeb Act on Yvie Jones and Angie Kent, Beau Ryan and Courtney.
