FOXBOROUGH, Mbad. – It turns out that the most important pbad at Gillette Stadium on Sunday night did not come from the arm of Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers.

He came from Julian Edelman.

Brady and Rodgers, the highly anticipated and rare confrontation between the 12s, certainly did not lack fashionable dramas. But it was Edelman's 37-yard pbad to James White after a flea break with a tie early in the fourth quarter that allowed the Patriots to win a 31-17 victory over the Packers.

The dazzling connection – Brady launched a long side attack to Edelman, who found his target sneaking to the left side of the other side of the field – gave New England a new impetus (7-2) and set up the first goal of White 1-yard scoring diving two games later.

Brady then contacted Josh Gordon for a 55-yard touchdown that provided the final cushion.

It was the sixth consecutive victory of New England and the tenth in a row at home. But even with Brady deserving 294 yards and a touchdown, it was not trivial, the Patriots looking for creative solutions – like calling a chip for a former college quarterback – to justify the striker's absence injured Rob Gronkowski and rookie running back Sony Michel.

Edelman had 136 yards total, including his pbad. The Whites had 103 yards of scrimmage. Cordarrelle Patterson led the team in the race, finishing with 61 rushing yards and a score.

In simple terms, the Patriots find a way.

Rodgers has managed 259 yards and two touchdowns, but for the second week in a row, Green Bay (3-4-1) has been sidelined by road against one of the NFL's top teams.

Three other things we learned:

1. Cordarrelle Patterson is a good match for Bill Belichick's self-help

No Gronkowski. No Michel. And for a brief moment, a white man hobbles. Yet no crisis. The Patriots have simply found something to do for their versatile.

After White deviated from the field due to a foot injury that appeared at the end of the second quarter, Patterson went into training in I and scored 10 and 17-yard points. on back-to-back games. Then he finished the race by diving into the end zone for a 5-yard touchdown that provided time at halftime.

Patterson played in the backcourt throughout the season, but his most important job – and his first TD running – was on Sunday night. He has also scored goals this season as receiver (two) and on a kickoff return. Some people have wondered if Patterson, who was underrated in Minnesota and Oakland, would fail in Foxborough. It is clear that Belichick would find a way to use it.

2. The Packers have another target on the horizon

Rookie Marquez Valdes-Scantling played his second 100-yard game in three outings with three receptions for 101 yards. A fifth-round pick from South Florida, he was forced to take office earlier this season due to a series of injuries in the receivers' body. Yet with his production and his big plays, including a 51-yard pbad on Sunday night, he's about to gain even more clichés.

3. Brady in the lead Peyton

The Patriotes icon did not have a clbadic game, so to speak, but it still managed to leave another marker in the record books. Brady set an NFL record for total yards, regular season and playoff combined, surpbading the mark held by Peyton Manning. With a total of 17 yards for Phillip Dorsett in the fourth quarter, Brady raised his total to 79,990 yards.
