The evening was frustrating for Cowboys coach Paul Green, who watched his home team fight before falling to the feet of the Tigers after a heartbreaking 27- to 26-point gold win.
The North Queensland Mentor expressed frustration at the referee's conflicting decisions, asking them to explain why the Tigers got a penalty try, but another free kick was allowed.
Green had his emotions on the sleeve during the match, and a center on the penalty area showed him strangely explode after Michael Morgan made a decisive pbad for Kyle Feldt.

Cowboy press conference
4:06
"Paul Green absolutely tears the thongs," said Corey Parker at Fox League.
"He absolutely gives to someone."
It's hard to know exactly what caused Green, but commentators have agreed that it was dirty with QLD. The game "high risk" veteran of the original state, Morgan – on zero tackle.
Morgan sank in a grubber immediately after the Cowboys took possession of the ball after a water hammer. It was a risky dice roll that ultimately paid off, but its execution was bad.
If the Tigers winger Robert Jennings had not lost his footing, he would have recovered the ball, but a mistake and a fortuitous rebound allowed Feldt to easily recover the ball and center.

"I think that explosion actually affected Morgan, regardless of the outcome," said the former Cowboys center, Brent Tate.
"If this game was not over, he (Green) would have been there on the field [blowing up]. "
Commentators had also praised Morgan for taking an "inspired decision" and calling it "staged."
Still, with his team lagging behind two converted tries and a full six in their back pocket to play in the red zone, Green's frustration is certainly understandable.
And he did not give up. Braodcast vision showed that Green was delivering an absolute rocket in the hangars during the half-time break.
"And watch Paul Green read the riot at halftime," said Brenton Speed's caller. "He was furious in the box of the coach and he took her to the locker room."
Parker added, "This is one of the best you'll see from Paul Green. His head was like a tomato. "
