NEWCASTLE WANTS TYRONE ROBERTS AS SUPPORT
The Knights quietly inquired about luring Tyrone Roberts back to the club.
Currently playing in the British Super League with Warrington, Roberts was also strongly linked to a return to the Gold Coast Titans, the club he left before settling in England.
However, in anticipation of the loss of young half-Jack Cogger and offside Brock Lamb, the Knights probed Roberts about a return in 2019.
Roberts played 97 games for the Knights between 2011 and 2015.

Luke Lewis of Cronulla pbadionately pleaded with his team-mates that they leave nothing behind in what will be his last season in the NRL.
After telling his teammates that 2018 would be his last year, Lewis was standing in front of the Sharks gaming group with a simple message.
"If I told you that all you needed to do was play your best football for the next eight weeks and you can finish with the Prime Minister, would you do it?"
The speech is said to have left the whole room with chills and the playgroup formed a pact to drive Lewis to retirement in the best possible way.
Lewis will be back from a veal problem against Brisbane next Thursday night.
