WA's drummer Shaun Marsh plays with a smile – and he does wonders.
Marsh made another heroic blow on Wednesday, but NSW is still in the lodge during the Sheffield Shield vs. Optus Stadium clash.
In response to NSW 261, WA was in trouble at 4-68 as a result of a first-order collapse.
Marsh responded with a courage of 81 out of 193 balls to guide WA to 5-188, before 5-10 crashed and the hosts were fired for 198.
NSW jumped to 1-32 in their second set of balls on the second day – a general lead of 95 – with Nick Larkin at 15 and Kurtis Patterson at nine.
Marsh is in an awesome form since returning from his poor Test series against Pakistan, scoring scores of 80, 98, 163, and 81 for WA, as well as his 106 for Australia in a match against Australia. ODI against South Africa.
He said that a relaxed attitude had helped him regain his mojo.
"I just have to keep amusing myself," Marsh said.
"I'm really relaxed and I do not put too much pressure, and I go out and play with a smile.
"That's all I've done in the last three or four weeks.
"I did not care about what was written about me, I really did not care for anything, I just went there and I enjoyed it."
Marsh's strike against NSW was as patient as possible, with the southpaw taking care not to take a lot of risk with the new Optus Stadium counter.
The veteran survived the strong appeals lodged by the lbw on 28, 43 and 48 years before retiring his half-century of 152 bullets.
Ashton Turner (38) has badociated Marsh with an important booth of 80 races that has stabilized the ship, but their good work has been canceled by the recent collapse.
Paceman Trent Copeland finished with a score of 4-52, while spinner Nathan Lyon was 3-34 out of 21 retired.
The first day was reserved for WA Paceman Jhye Richardson, who unveiled the best figures of his career from 8 to 47 years in a hypnotic demonstration of rhythm and swing.
