Rachel McAdams breaks her silence and CONFIRMS the birth of a son with boyfriend Jamie Lindin

She did not speak publicly about the arrival of her first child.

But Rachel McAdams has now confirmed rumors that she was hiding her pregnancy and gave birth to a son with her boyfriend Jamie Lindin.

"That's the best thing that happened to me, hands down," 40-year-old Mean Girls star told The Sunday Times on Sunday.

& # 39;[People say] your life is no longer yours, but I was 39 years old, I was tired of myself, I was so happy to focus on another person, "she continued.

"I waited a long time [for motherhood]. That's just how it went. And I did not want to do it before it was the right time. & # 39;

The actress Game Night also revealed her hope of keeping her son – whose name she did not reveal – in the privacy of the public eye.

"I want to keep her private life, even if it's not mine," she told the publication.

"But I enjoy myself more than being a mom that I've never had." Everything is interesting, exciting and inspiring for me.

The amazing Canadian also spoke about the challenges of motherhood.

Waiting game: "I waited a long time [for motherhood]. That's just how it went. And I did not want to do it before it was the right time. & # 39;

"I'm wearing clothes and that's a good thing. I do not even know what I am wearing today. The shoes are held together with glue. Is not it so sad? I need a life, she joked.

And her son gave her a clarity for life that she had not yet experienced.

"You see everything through a particular goal: very sensitive, more open. It's like being on a plane all the time.
