The unbeaten boxing legend, Floyd Mayweather Jr., will soon run up against Tenshin Nasukawa, the kickboxing killer, confirmed sources at BJPENN.COM. This big fight is scheduled to take place at RIZIN 14, Tokyo, in the sacred shrine of Saitama Super Arena, Japan, for New Year's Eve.
Rizin will officially announce this news at a press conference currently taking place in Tokyo and is broadcast on the YouTube channel promotion. Tenshin Nasukawa will be attending this press conference, as will Floyd Mayweather, who recently arrived in Japan aboard his private jet.
This news is a huge surprise, as Mayweather has recently been linked to clashes with UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, and with his long-time rival, Manny Pacquiao. That said, the undefeated pugilist recently told TMZ that he was hoping to fight in Tokyo in the near future, and that mixed martial artists and kickboxers were considered potential opponents. It seems he is not exaggerating.
At Tenshin Nasukawa, Floyd Mayweather will face one of the most impressive hitters in the history of combat sports. The 20-year-old Japanese sensation is a perfect 27-0 as a professional kickboxer, with 21 of her knockout victories. Among the highlights of his resume are the defeats of Amnat Ruenroeng, Yamato Fujita, Yusaku Nakamura, Rodtang Jitmuangnon and, more recently, the Japanese star Kyoji Horiguchi.
Nasukawa also competed four times in mixed martial arts, winning two of these bouts by knockout, one per submission and one decision.
He has never competed as a professional boxer.
Floyd Mayweather, meanwhile, is arguably the greatest boxer of all time. The American fought for the last time in August 2017, when he improved to 50-0 with 10thTKO of Conor McGregor in a similar fight. Other highlights of his incredible record include victories over Manny Pacquiao, Canelo Alvarez, Miguel Cotto, Victor Ortiz, Juan Manuel Márquez, Ricky Hatton, Oscar De La Hoya, Zab Judah, Arturo Gatti and many more.
Stay tuned to learn more about this shocking battle between RIZIN 14, Tenshin Nasukawa and Floyd Mayweather, and details of the upcoming rules.
