AWER Mabil is coming into Socceroos camp in top form after a stunning showing for his club team, while Mbadimo Luongo scored one of the easiest goals of his career!

MABIL MASTERCLASS
Socceroos winger Awer Mabil couldn’t be in better form heading into camp for clashes against South Korea and Lebanon.
The 23-year-old put on an absolute masterclbad for club team Midtjylland as they destroyed Vejle BK 5-0 in Denmark on Monday morning AEDT.
The Aussie, who currently boasts one cap, racked up two goals and put on two more for teammates in an incredible outing. He opened the scoring on 21 minutes with a well-taken finish before kicking into top gear in the second half – laying on an badist on 51 minutes, before snagging his second fourteen minutes later.

Mabil rounded out the rout with another badist for teammate Jakob Poulsen.
Midtjylland are on top of the league after 16 games, leading FC Copenhagen on goal difference.
Let’s hope the flying winger can produce similar quality in front of goal when he dons the green and gold this week!
LUONGO SCORES ‘EASIEST GOAL OF HIS CAREER’
Also in the goals over the weekend was midfielder Mbadimo Luongo.
The QPR man netted the first of three in an incredible three-goal blitz which helped his team to a thrilling 3-2 victory over Brentford in the Championship.
Luongo scored a tap-in to level up the scores on 50 minutes, as the Rangers pushed on for a big three points. They sit 10th in the league after 17 matches.
According to Football.London, it was one of the easiest goals the Aussie will ever score!
“Won’t score an easier goal in his career than the two-yard tap-in that brought the Rs level, but it was an all-around solid performance from the Australian,” Tom Victor wrote in his player ratings.
“QPR needed their midfield firing on all cylinders and he did his job well.”

RUKA NETS
He may not be in the Socceroos frame for now, but Nikita Rukavytsya is still doing his thing in Israel.
The forward found the net in Maccabi Haifa’s 2-1 win over Hapoel Hadera in the Israeli Premier League over the weekend.
Rukavytsya produced a nice finish under the goalkeeper after being put through one-on-one, making the most of a big opportunity.
The goal was his first this season and came in his 10th domestic match.
Maccabi Haifa sit eighth after 10 matches.
TOUGH WEEK IN SCOTLAND
It was a frustrating weekend for our Scottish based Socceroos.
Tom Rogic’s Celtic narrowly remain on top of the table despite a 0-0 draw with 7th placed Livingston.
The Celts had 17 shots to seven in the stalemate, and racked up 58% possession but just couldn’t find a breakthrough.
Celtic fan website Read Celtic rated Rogic a 6 in the clash.
“A frustrating afternoon for the Aussie who couldn’t find the creative spark in tight areas,” they wrote
“Very nearly won it late on with a curling shot that was saved very well by Kelly.”
Meanwhile it was an equally tough time for Hibernian stars Martin Boyle, Mark Milligan and Jamie Maclaren.
All three started for Hibs as they went down 1-0 to St Johnstone, who are now winless in four games – and have slid to eighth on the ladder.
STARS STUCK ON THE BENCH
While there were a fair few Aussies in action over the weekend, a few key stars unfortunately found themselves warming the bench.
PSV duo Trent Sainsbury and Aziz Behich failed to see game time in a 4-1 Eredevisie win over De Graafschap. While Mathew Leckie was also an unused substitute as Herha Berlin were demolished 4-1 by Fortuna Dusseldorf in the Bundesliga.
Not exactly ideal with a pair of friendlies this week, and the Asian Cup on the horizon.
OTHER ROOS IN ACTION
Mustafa Amini came off the bench at halftime as AGF Aarhus went down 2-0 to Brondby in Denmark.
Milos Degenek continued a strong week that began with a strong showing against Liverpool in the Champions League, by playing a full match in Red Star Belgrade’s 3-0 win over Dinamo Vranje.
Jackson Irvine managed a full match for Hull City as they drew 3-3 with Birmingham in a thrilling match in the Championship.
In Austria, James Jeggo celebrated his recall with a full 90 minutes for Austria Wien as they lost 2-0 to Red Bull Salzburg.
Tomi Juric played 54 minutes for FC Luzern as they thumped Lugano 4-1 in the Swiss Super League.
Matthew Jurman was an unused substitute for Al Ittihad in a 2-1 loss to Al Feiha in the Saudi Pro League.
Over in Japan, Mitch Langerak had a tough time as Shimizu S-Pulse banged two past him in the Nagoya Grampus goal, while Andrew Nabbout came on in the 89th minute as his injury return continued.
Aaron Mooy made a crucial goal line stop and had a strong game in midfield as Huddersfield continued their Premier League revival with a 1-1 draw against West Ham.
Elsewhere in the top flight, Maty Ryan’s was breached twice as Brighton slumped to a 2-1 loss to strugglers Cardiff City.
His fellow gloveman Danny Vukovic had a better time of things however, he kept another clean sheet in a 0-0 draw with strugglers Excel Mouscron as Genk remained top of the Belgian league.
