A nine-year-old girl sent a letter to Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry asking why her sneakers are not sold to girls.
Curry's answer? Invaluable.
Riley Morrison of Napa, California, wrote a letter to Curry that his father, Chris, posted on his Instagram account on November 19.
The letter shared her frustration at not being able to find her signature basketball sneakers the size of girls.
She wrote, "I am a big fan of you. I like to go to Warriors games with my dad.
"I asked my dad to buy me the new Curry 5 because I'm starting a new basketball season. My dad and I visited the Under Armor website and were disappointed that there was no Curry 5 for sale in the girls only section. However, they had them on sale in the boys section, even to personalize.
"I know you support women athletes because you have two daughters and you have a girls only basketball camp. I hope you can work with Under Armor to change that, because the girls also want to make the Curry 5 vibrate.
The story was taken over and Riley told Teen Vogue she had been playing basketball since she was four.
"I wanted to write the letter because it seemed unfair to me that the shoes were only in the boys section and not in the girls section," Riley said. "I wanted to help make things equal for all girls, because girls also play basketball."
When his father Chris announced the news, he was proud of his answer.
"She looked at me and said," Dad, it's not fair, "Chris told Teen Vogue," And I said, maybe you could write a letter.
Curry defends women's rights and wrote an article about The players' forum in August to be a father for girls.
Concerned about equality for women, Curry returned to Riley in a perfect way.
He stated that he "had spent the last two days arguing with Under Armor about how we could solve problems" and had promised that society "corrected that now" in his own handwritten note.
He also announced that he would send a pair of Curry 5 and Curry 6 when they were ready to leave, while referring to Riley and his family's stay on March 8 in Oakland.
Curry is really the dream of a marketer.
