Ballarat Immunization Rates Remain Stable as New Evidence Shows Victoria now has the highest proportion of five-year-olds vaccinated as any other state.
Across Victoria, 95.7% of five-year-olds are fully immunized. 95.3% since February, according to the latest figures from the Australian Childhood Immunization Register.
Ballarat, although still above the state average, marginally slipped to 97.84% of children protected against vaccine-preventable diseases, such as measles. The vaccination rate of Victorian children has increased since the introduction of No Jab No Play laws last year.

"This shows that our message that vaccinations save lives does not reach everyone," said Ms. Thomas.
"I will continue to work with local parents and community groups to encourage people in the area to listen to science and vaccinate their children – more than statistics – it is about protecting local children from deadly but preventable diseases. "
