Husband and wife Mary and Tyce trapezes, known as "Transcend Duo", performed their routine when she slipped between her hands and fell to the ground.
Even before the fall, the couple already had judges – including guest actor Judge Ken Jeong – on the edge as they performed their acrobatics over the stage. Adding to the difficulty? Tyce is legally blind to one eye because of a progressive eye disease.
The couple began their routine with Tyce holding Mary hanging by her neck while she was laying her legs outstretched.
