The world's longest-man nail cuts after 66 years

The Guinness world record holder for the longest nails ever on one hand has had his claws cut after 66 years.

The extraordinarily long nails of Shridhar Chillal are now on display at Ripley's Believe It or Not! museum in New York.

The 82 year old greenhouses have a combined measurement of 909.6cm (358.1ins). Its vignette, the longest of all, measures an incredible 197.8cm (77.8ins).

The professor said that Mr. Chillal would never understand what he had to take care of the long nails and the student undertook to prove that his teacher was wrong, and devote his life to taking care of his claws.

"I do not know if the professor is dead now or not but I would certainly like to say that the thing for which you scolded me, I took it as a challenge and I've completed the challenge and now I'm here, "he said.

"When I decided to cut my nails, it was difficult for me to make that decision ", said Mr. Chillal.

" But when I realized that after cutting my nails, my nails will be at Ripley's Believe It or Not and that they will maintain it very well. and for a lifetime, then I felt that I was making the right decision and that is why I decided to cut my fingernails. "

Despite Mr. Chillal's nails causing him to lose function in his left hand because of their weight and length, and his fingers being fused together, he continued to work as a photographer. Age 22.

He also married and had two children, and now has three grandchildren.
