Third egg booster this year while organic eggs have been removed from the shelves

Organic egg lots stored in Woolworths, IGA stores and other independent stores are recalled due to possible salmonella contamination.

This is the third egg booster on NSW supermarket shelves this year as a result of separate concerns regarding the presence of salmonella at other egg suppliers in February and March. .

The NSW Food Authority issued an alert on Saturday stating that the supplier Synergy Produce Pty Ltd. recalled organic eggs from the South Highlands.

The recall concerns both Organic Highland Organic Eggs 300 g (6 pack) and 700 g (12 pack), with the expiry date up to 9 May 2019 inclusive.
