After a full month of speculation, Apple officially held its October event this week in Brooklyn. The event brought the introduction of a new Retina MacBook Air, a new Mac mini, and a pair of new iPad Pros.

The Retina MacBook Air starts at $1,199 in price and is available in three colors for the first time: silver, space gray, and gold. Under the hood, it’s powered by an 8th-gen Intel Core i5 process with 8GB of RAM. You get Touch ID, Apple’s T2 security chip, USB-C, and a Butterfly keyboard, as well.

Meanwhile, the new Mac mini is available solely in space gray and by default is powered by a quad-core processor. There’s also the option to upgrade to a six-core processor if you need more power. Much like the MacBook Air, you get Apple’s T2 security chip. The Mac mini starts at $799.

Rounding out the hardware announcements of this week is the new iPad Pro lineup. As expected, the new iPad Pro is available in 11-inch and 12.9-inch form factors with no Home button and Face ID support. The display stretches further to the edges this time around, and Apple has released a new Smart Keyboard Folio and Apple Pencil to accompany the new iPad Pro.

The new 11-inch iPad Pro starts at $799, while the 12.9-inch starts at $999.

This week also marked the release of iOS 12.1, as well as the beginning of the iOS 12.1.1 beta testing period.  iOS 12.1 includes new features such as dual-SIM support, Group FaceTime, new Emoji, and more.

Last but not least, Apple reported its Q4 earnings this week. The company generated $62.9b in revenue and $14.12b profit from 46.89m iPhones, 9.69m iPads, and 5.3m Macs sold. Read our full coverage here.
