Geraint Thomas won his first Tour de France title, concluding his transformation from a support driver into champion of the greatest cycling race.
The Welsh rider with Team Sky successfully defended Tom Dumoulin, second overall, to finish first in the race with a time of 1 minute and 51 seconds.
