Twitch's game streamers will now be able to let their viewers broadcast animated GIFs in their live broadcasts as part of an agreement with Giphy.
The terms of the covenant are not disclosed. The new Giphy extension on Twitch allows viewers to post GIFs on a section of the screen (as predetermined by the broadcaster).
"With Giphy tapping into their vast library of animated GIFs for their new expansion, it adds a fun and compelling new element to the social video experience that is sure to resonate with the current meme generation," said Amir Shevat, vice president of Twitch's developer experience
