Valuable images show the father and daughter duo slowly swaying to Elton John's Can Feel The Love Tonight.
Vanessa, a nurse, said this moment had made her wedding with her love of college Mike, a much nicer accountant.
The bride, from San Diego California, said, "It was great to have my father there. It was such a special moment to dance with him.
"He is in the final stages of COPD, which has progressed rapidly in recent years, and his quality of life has decreased significantly. He is under oxygen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
"We thought he could not come to my wedding because of the altitude and it was such a disturbing week.
"It would have devastated me and I was so relieved when his doctors allowed him to go."
Lew, a father of three, added, "My illness is so bad that I'm really lucky to be able to get out of the house, so walking Vanessa down the aisle has been the highlight of my life.
"She cut me off, I felt like I was walking through the air when I was driving her down the aisle, I did not even notice my oxygen device on my shoulder."
Lew, a construction contractor, and Vanessa attended their first dance in front of 100 guests on July 14th.
Lew said, "When we were dancing, we had the impression that Vanessa and I were the only people in the room.
Vanessa added, "This is really the most special day of my life.
"My father is an inspiration to me, he ran his own business and he mentored me and helped me all my life."
Despite his illness, Lew hopes that he will live up to seeing another milestone in Vanessa's life.
"It's a bit greedy on my part, but I'd like to meet a grandchild.
"But I had a good life and I take it day after day, if I get up in the morning, it's great.
"I feel very fortunate that Vanessa met a guy like Mike, her soulmate, and she deserves the best, and since the day she came into our life, she's been an angel."
Vanessa added, "Because of my father's illness, it was very significant. It makes you appreciate every moment that you have together. "
