An impressive display of Christmas decorations in homage to Home Alone grabs the attention of Austin, Texas … and movie star Macaulay Culkin.
Kevin Urrutia-O’Reilly and his wife Alex Moreland have decided to do something a little different for the holidays this year in their Cherrywood neighborhood.
They usually hang lights and ribbons on their house for Christmas, as many do around the world.
This year, however, they decided to use a new machine to create realistic depictions of the movie Home Alone, released 30 years ago in 1990.

While thieves are below, Kevin McCallister hangs from above, armed with paint
“I just got this 3D printer,” Urrutia-O’Reilly told KXAN. “Why not print all the faces of the characters and make mannequins?”
On TikTok, Urrutia-O’Reilly describes himself as a “painter / product designer / programmer,” with over 2,700 subscribers.
The couple started working on the decorations long before the holidays, in September.
It took them as long to create as many Home Alone mini moments as possible.
Those passing the decorations around the corner of the block took photos and videos to expand the scope of the couple’s vacation joy.
From a driving distance, the mannequins hanging around the property look almost identical to the characters and scenes in Home Alone.
Some recognized the framed image of Buzz’s girlfriend hanging from one window, while others noticed a similar setup for a cutout of Michael Jordan in another window.
The models of Harry and Marv, the film’s main villains, hang out on the porch, appearing ready to try and rob the house.
“We have all the clothes at Goodwill,” Moreland said of Marv. “I think we managed to define her look, pretty well. I think we had the most fun with him and I think he turned out to be the most successful.

No detail was left unnoticed, as a photo of Buzz’s girlfriend appeared in another window
Meanwhile, Kevin McCallister is a centerpiece of the scene, standing on the roof with cans of paint in his hands.
It helped grab the attention of the real Kevin McCallister, actor Macaulay Culkin, who shared a video of the scene on Twitter and wrote: ‘I’m going to continue …’

It all caught the attention of Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin, who joked about the lawsuits.
Creating such a realistic model required a lot of Home Alone viewings for the couple. Overall, however, Urrutia-O’Reilly and Moreland both seem happy with the impact their model has had on their neighborhood’s holiday spirit.
“ I knew it was going to bring us a lot of joy, it did, in recent months [as] we worked on it little by little, ”Moreland told KXAN. “ But seeing how much joy it brought to everyone was really, really nice. ”
