The mayor of Austin, Texas has apologized for his trip to Mexico during the pandemic.
Responding to a story first reported Wednesday in The Austin American-Statesman, Mayor Steve Adler admitted he visited Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in early November – and overseas, he has even recorded a message urging Austinites to stay home to fight the spread of the coronavirus.
