Adau Mornyang has not shown exemplary behavior, but she will not be imprisoned either.
The Australian model appeared before the Federal Court in Los Angeles on Monday, where she was sentenced to three years probation and 100 hours of community service for allegedly slapping an air hostess. on a United Airlines flight earlier this year.

Mornyang, 25, claimed to have genuine remorse for the incident, telling the judge that she had been forced to "deal with my emotions" and to seek "appropriate medical treatment," according to the statement. Associated Press.

Judge Cormac J. Carney of the US District stated that he believed that Mornyang was sincere in his desire to change his behavior.
"The trial was a punishment in itself," said the judge.

Mornyang was initially found guilty of interfering in a crime by a flight crew and assault after disrupting a United Airlines flight between Melbourne and Los Angeles on Jan. 21, after apparently drinking wine. Prosecutors said she "screamed obscenities and racial slurs and waved her arms," and eventually slapped an air hostess who had tried to intervene.
She had previously been acquitted of a third charge for assaulting an air marshal who had also attempted to intervene, reported the Associated Press.
In addition to probation and community service, Mornyang will be tested for drugs and will receive mental health counseling for the next three years.
