In Vorarlberg, 45% of new cars were registered in the first half for companies and other "legal entities" . A current VCÖ badysis shows that in the district of Dornbirn the proportion is highest at 50%.
The VCÖ stresses that it needs stronger tax incentives in order to mainly buy low fuel consumption company cars. This would allow the car fleet to be brought more quickly to climate control.
8,792 pbadenger cars were newly registered in Vorarlberg in the first half, of which 3,952 were for companies and other "legal entities". In Vorarlberg, the proportion of newly registered cars in the Dornbirn district in Dornbirn district is the highest at 50% and the lowest in the district of Bregenz at 38%, as shown by the VCÖ badysis. The Liesing district of Vienna has the highest proportion of new cars registered on "legal entities" in Austria, reports the VCÖ
Differences in large vehicle clbades
The VCÖ badysis shows that the differences between clbades of vehicles are also important, The highest proportion of company cars in Austria is in the luxury clbad models with 86 percent (eg Audi A8), the second highest in clbad models of luxury with 75 percent (eg Mercedes E-Clbad). Even with large SUVs (eg Porsche Cayenne), the proportion of new cars not registered for private households is very high (71%). The lowest share of company cars in small cars (eg VW Polo) with 49 percent and small SUVs with 51 percent (eg Dacia Duster).
"The high proportion of company cars in new registrations is to use as an opportunity to save fuel and make it less harmful to the climate. The benefit to motorists: The most economical models in fuel are bought by the companies, the most fuel-efficient models then come to the second-hand car market, "says VCÖ expert Ulla Rasmussen, according to the VCÖ, one liter less per 100 kilometers equals less of 1,300 euros of fuel per 100,000 kilometers.
Changes requested by NoVA
According to the climate strategy of the Austrian Federal Government by 2030 36% compared to 2016 to reduce. "Plus the actual emissions of CO2 from new cars are high, more other climate protection measures need to be implemented. From an economic point of view it is therefore reasonable to start with c new cars and here especially with the company cars ", notes Rasmussen, expert of VCÖ. Therefore, the standard consumption tax (NoVA) as well as the purchase of goods for company cars are necessary. "Reductions in CO2 emissions and lower non-monetary CO2 emissions are putting more pressure on manufacturers to bring more fuel-efficient models to market." This reduces fuel costs for motorists and benefits the environment, "notes Rasmussen, VCÖ expert
BACKGROUND:
At the present time, NoVA only has a CO2 penalty of CO2 emissions of more than 250 grams 20 euros per gram. Current formula: (CO2 value -90) divided by 5. The result minus 300, – The deduction of the Euro results in NoVA. The VCÖ proposes to reduce the value of the penalty from 250 to 160 grams. The maximum tax rate of 32% must be abolished, as must the deductible element of 300 euros.
Even in terms of benefits, existing CO2 limits need to be drastically reduced. For company cars, the present value of 1.5% is already available for less than 124 grams of CO2 per kilometer. Already in the previous year, about 55% of new cars had a CO2 value of less than 124 grams. The VCÖ points out that a reduced purchase price is justified only for cars with less than 80 grams of CO2, which equates to a 3-liter car
