Vienna (APA) – The film of Alice Rohrwacher "Lazzaro Felice" begins today, Thursday, at the 56th Viennale of Gartenbaukino. Eva Sangiorgi, neo-director, has chosen as a prelude the story of a naive and good-natured peasant who must embark on all kinds of adventures for his first edition at the festival. The 40-year-old Italian takes over from Hans Hurch, a longtime director who pbaded away last year.

The work "Lazzaro felice", already awarded at Cannes, will be followed until November 8 by big names such as Lars von Trier or Jean-Luc Godard, excellent work of this year's Film Festival and many precious objects. For the first time, there is no distinction between feature films and documentaries, Sangiorgi has lifted them. The local scene is u.a. with Markus Schleinzer ("Angelo") and Sudabeh Mortezai ("Joy"). The festival ends with the story of serial killer "El angel" by Louis Ortega.
