The plot of the series takes place a few months after the 1981 film: In the autumn of 1942, the underwater fight rages more bitterly. The crew of the U-612 leaves France to fight in the conflict, while in the port of La Rochelle, resistance against the German occupiers wakes up slowly
"The boat" will be received in Germany via Sky, the first of eight episodes will air in November 2018. More episodes follow at weekly intervals. Episodes are also available via Sky Go, Sky On Demand and Sky Ticket .
