When the Russian ballerina Dominika Egorova (Jennifer Lawrence) has to give up her career due to a leg injury, she suddenly finds herself without anything. His uncle Vanya (Matthias Schoenaerts) offers the young woman a way out – spying on a businessman for him.

The mission, however, is different than expected. The target person of Dominka is murdered and she is taken to a secret teaching institution. There, the former dancer is trained in the "Red Sparrow", which goes on the hunt for information with its physical attractions.
Your first mission is to seduce a CIA agent (Joel Edgerton) to expose a Russian mole. In secret, however, Dominika pursues her own plans.
