Apple has recently activated more iPhones than last year and caught up with Samsung. The two giants are at the top of the US market.
Apple was able to activate 6% more iPhones in the last quarter than at the same time last year. From April to June, the proportion of smartphone activations attributable to an iPhone was 36%, according to the CIRP badysis company.
Last year, Apple held 30% of new devices enabled.
Apple was able to win, activations at Samsung came back again. IBPGR attributes this development to direct change.
Apple Remains for Customers of Samsung
Apple has been able to increase its activations at the expense of Samsung, said Mike Levin, co-founder of CIRP. Apparently, Samsung's customers have increasingly chosen to bet on an iPhone in the future.
Samsung has activated similar devices to Apple, in the second quarter of 2018 the two companies share the top in the US market. It is followed by manufacturers such as LG and Huawei.
Unsurprisingly, most of the enabled devices were based on Android 63%.
The Android platform with the innumerable number of manufacturers using the system, however, faces a single manufacturer using iOS for its hardware.
In addition to iOS and Android, there is de facto no other major player in the global smartphone market.
The Consumer Intelligence Research Partners study is based on a Stichp dress of 500 clients who have activated a newly purchased smartphone between April and June of this year.
