AMD has delivered good numbers for the second quarter of 2018.
In total, AMD generated a business turnover of $ 1.756 billion and generated $ 116 million in revenue. Revenues last year were $ 1,222 million, down $ 16 million.

The increase in profits is mainly due to the good sales of Ryzen and Radeon, and also thanks to the higher demand for game consoles, AMD was able to sell significantly more chips than the previous year .

The Computers and Graphics Division grew by 64% from $ 661 million to $ 1.086 billion. The sharp increases can be attributed to both the Ryzen 7 2700X and Ryzen 5 2600X processors, but also contribute to the sustainable mining boom with the resulting graphics card sales. Raven Ridge Mobile AMD is also used more and more in laptops.

In the semi-customary segment of AMD, revenues grew 37 percent, from $ 490 million to $ 670 million. In this division, AMD sells chips for Playstation 4 or Xbox One, various embedded processors and Epyc processors for servers.

For the next quarter, AMD also expects a conversion of about 1.7 billion US dollars. This would be a slight increase over the previous year.
