Just as the CIA wants to put under control the "Impossible Mission Force" (IMF), Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) faces the biggest threat to his career as an undercover agent. "Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation" is by no means a movie I turn to Tom Cruise. Because the entire IMF team has the opportunity to prove its special skills. This is especially true of Benji Dunn (Simon Pegg), who almost plays a supporting role.

Of course, there are also a lot of high-tech and many toys are closer mumpitz. But the film plays with tempo and always a lot of joke. In terms of content, "Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation" offers a lot of variety and leads the action directly to several places such as Vienna, London and Casablanca

The film seems a little grimy, especially in dark areas. The noise is very fine on Blu-ray Ultra HD and is sometimes accompanied by color noise. The contrast is very variable and sometimes goes from cutting to cutting. The image is usually very dark and the dark details of the image are often hard to see. The HDR notation is very unobtrusive and is not particularly visible in every scene. Bright image areas often appear a little reduced. Here, you've refused the often blurry appearance of Blu-ray Disc and reserved light reserves for times when the targeted top lights are used for a slightly more vibrant image, which is particularly successful at night with point light sources.

Highly conceited and often comes in the teal / orange Hollywood style with a slightly reduced saturation used. Despite the powerful filtering, the extended Rec.2020 color space is easily recognizable because the hues are often very dominant, which can not be displayed in the Rec.709 color space. However, the filtering is so clear that we no longer see more natural colors, but the artificial color impression is often amplified. While Blu-ray Disc faces were often gold-orange, here the Blu-ray Ultra HD is usually a slightly duller brown tone.

The sharpness of the picture could not really excite even with the Blu-ray Disc and the Ultra HD Blu-ray can not shine with a very detailed picture except for a little more sharpness edges. This seems partly also in the optics of the camera used. Because if you take a closer look, you can often see smaller distortions in the marginal area and, in some cases, images that are not properly focused.

The English Dolby Atmos-Mix delivers powerful sound with a spacious sound field and warm bbad that makes certain moments of action perceptible . Even in quiet moments, the Music Score usually provides an atmospheric sound in the background. Only in the treble range, something is missing in detail. "Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation" offers decent effects, which already make good use of normal surround speakers, so that extra Dolby Atmos effects are usually only particularly visible in individual scenes. Especially with flying objects, Atmos height channels are used, but especially the underwater scene of the 65th minute offers a successful 360-degree sound.

The doubled German version must be without Dolby Atmos. It still offers a very good breeding effect. Dynamics, however, can not convince. In times when the mix of the British atmosphere gets off to a good start, the dubbed German version often gives only a slight breeze.
