With a 6: 3 victory at Klagenfurt Stadthalle, Montfortstädter could return home with the maximum points of the double weekend.

That led Nik Zupancic's team to fourth place in the standings and 14 games to 28 points, before it came to the Vorarlberg summit on Saturday with Lustenau EHC.

Despite a shot-to-shoot ratio of 46 to 22, the VEU only managed in the last 14 minutes of the match to chart the victory. In the first leg, goalkeeper Robin Soudek of VEU gave the visitors the advantage. Tommaso Topatigh equalized before the first break.

In the middle of the third, Dominik Divis defused in goal VEU and his counterpart Florian Vorauer shot all his shots on goal and maintained the score in a 1-1 draw.

Robin Soudek unlocked the VEU Powerplay blocking of 44 minutes and took the advantage with his second goal. But even these could equalize the red jackets again. Fabian Hochegger scored the goal for 2: 2. Not even a minute later, Dylan Stanley dropped his card at the KAC for the first time and scored the first goal, helped by Robin Soudek to increase his account number 51. 38 seconds later, Christian Jennes increased in advance, again with the help of Soudek. Niklas Gehringer scored the VEU's fifth goal just under two minutes later and set the pace for the final victory. Hochegger scored some cosmetic results with his second goal. The last point was Dylan Stanley 28 seconds before the final siren with 6: 3.
