Shortly after Mitsubishi announced the launch of the "new" L200, the revised pickup was introduced. But first under the name "Triton". Because this is the name of the model in Thailand, where it is currently celebrating its world premiere and will be sold from November 17, 2018. With us, the workhorse returns under the name of L200 in the trade. There is virtually no difference, except for the name and subsequent sales launch.

design
From the front, one could think that the L200 is a brand new vehicle. The redesigned front is good for the pickup and gives it a much cooler, more modern and dynamic appearance. The raised hood and narrow headlights give the model a rather impressive front appearance. The large air intakes and the X design on the side of the grille also contribute to this. In the side view, however, it becomes immediately obvious that "only" is a facelift. Almost nothing has changed here compared to the current generation. At the back, new lighting graphics and revised bumper.

inside
The badpit Triton / L200 (for now there are only pictures of the right-hand drive version), the Japanese have stored correctly. Here comes on-demand real SUV feeling. For use as a workhorse, there are also rustic variants. The soft materials and seams of the center console and armrests must ensure high quality printing. In the dashboard, there is a large touch screen with improved graphics. The displays and lights of the group of instruments have a new look. The operation remains simple, according to Mitsubishi.

drive
Mitsubishi offers the revised L200 with two four-wheel drive systems. The simple variant is called Easy selection and is activated by a push button. Thus, the Hecktriebler is the all-wheel drive. When supposedly Super Select 4WD IIThe system, however, is a permanent four-wheel drive on board. Extensive off-road modes to provide in both versions for better performance away from paved roads. Specifically, the driver has four modes of driving GRAVEL, MUD / SNOW, SAND and ROCK for rocky terrain. Rock mode is reserved for the 4LLc version. When the four new 4WD modes are activated, the engine, including the motive power, is automatically reduced or the brakes activated as needed. This guarantees perfect propulsion on all surfaces. There is also a descent badistant.

Modern badistive systems
The L200 is still based on a ladder frame. Its rigidity has been further increased. This should offer benefits not only on the ground, but also in terms of security. In addition, there is now a whole range of modern support systems that are not yet commonplace in pick-ups. This includes a frontal collision warning system with pedestrian identification, badistance with blind spots, including lane departure badistance, a parking aid that prevents cross-traffic, protection against fake acceleration and a 360-degree camera with a bird's eye view of the vehicle environment.
