In January 2019, the pay-TV channel Sky will be a cross-border crime "The pbad" on the public pbades: in a variant of the known "Die Brücke" is a body found on a pbadport that forms the border between Germany and Austria, forcing investigators from both countries to cooperate. However, this series is not the umpteenth edition of the act of the terrorist who wants to denounce the abuses in migration: the international title "Pagan Peak" (about the "summit of the Gentiles") and the previously published description prove that ancient rituals in the distant mountain world play a central role in this story.
On January 25, the broadcast of "The Pbad" begins on Sky 1 (an exact time that Sky has not announced yet). Then, the entire half-full season will also be broadcast via Sky's digital distribution channels: Sky on Demand, Sky Go and Sky Ticket.
"The Pbad" is located in the Alps, on the German-Austrian border, where there is a corpse staged cruelly. The two countries then sent two investigators to investigate the case: Young Commissioner Ellie Stocker (Julia Jentsch) of Berchtesgaden is the first major challenge of her career. For his part, his Austrian colleague Gedeon Winter (Nicholas Ofczarek) has almost finished with his police presence and shows no interest in cooperation.
Shortly after, other bodies symbolically arranged on the stage are found, accompanied by the message "The red season will come". The pressure on Ellie and Gedeon to understand the motivations of the manufacturer of the series and to stop drifting. During their hunt, they must not only penetrate deeper and deeper into the dark valleys and archaic customs of the region, but must also enter the delusional world of the murderer's thought, who wants to create a "devilish work" ".
The series does not only deal with the crime, but also with the criminal, his plan and the personality of the investigators.
"Der Pbad" is produced by Quirin Berg and Max Wiedemann for Sky Deutschland. Other roles include Franz Hartwig, Hanno Koffler, Lucas Gregorowicz, Lukas Miko, Martin Feifel and Natasha Petrovic.
Quirin Berg and Max Wiedemann produce the series, Cyrill Boss and Philipp Stennert are responsible for the screenplay and directing. Hans Zimmer, an Oscar winner, could be rewarded as a music producer.
