Ant-Man and the wasp

They want to become a family again. Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), the inventor and the first user of anti-man technology, works with his daughter Hope (Evangeline Lilly) on a method to bring back his lost mother, Michelle Pfeiffer, there are several years. She then sacrificed herself as a superheroine "The Wasp" in a World Rescue mission and has since been trapped in the subatomic quantum zone. Meanwhile, Hope has taken over his role and can use a wasp suit, with which – unlike Ant-Man – with the help of built-in wings can fly away.

The crucial step to save their mother from bringing a highly specialized component, that Pym wants to buy the questionable arms dealer Sonny Burch (Walton Goggins). However, he has his own plans and is interested in Pym's secret lab, which is why he lets the case explode and from now on, Pym and Hope press. Now, Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) must intervene. At the meeting, a masked alien named Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) appears, which seems at least equal to Ant-Man and The Wasp. After a furious fight, she manages to disappear with the play.

Ghost once called Ava and, in a failed experiment, became a being able to penetrate solid matter. As a side effect, however, his body suffers from a very great pain. A former colleague of Pym, dr. Bill Foster (Laurence Fishburne), feels responsible to Ava and needs the stolen part to save his life. But Ant-Man and The Wasp bring him back into their possession. At the same time, the new duo of insects is dealing with opponents on three fronts: Ghost, the brutal mercenaries of Burch and the FBI. Because authorities are also looking for Pym and Hope

Balanced mix of action and humor

Director Peyton Reed, who also directed the first film "Ant-Man", once again manages a balanced mix of exciting superheroes Action and a lot of humor. The latter is not only due to a temporarily defective high-tech suit of the ant, which shrinks it or constantly increases it at inappropriate times on unfavorable dimensions, but also to the chaotic companion of Ant. -Man Luis (Michael Peña). Auxiliary ants no longer play such a large role, but many objects, cars and even whole buildings become smaller and smaller. So many times in a Marvel movie has never been the talk of Germany. Because "Ant-Man And The Wasp" connects directly to the Captain America adventure "The First Avenger: Civil War", which occurred partly on a Berlin airport. There too Ant-Man intervened in the struggle of the troop of superheroes and was then arrested by the German authorities. That's why he is currently under house arrest with handcuffs on his ankle – at least, the FBI should believe him. This circumstance also explains why Ant-Man was not present in "The Avengers: Infinity War", whose plot runs parallel in other places without connection.

However, in a bonus scene during the credits, there is still a very dramatic connection to the end of the world's destructive epic – bringing everything back into the Marvel Universe and allowing a sequel .
