The expansion of regional supply as well as the reduction of transport routes are declared objectives of the bio denn market. An important step has been taken in this respect: in early June, a 1,282 square meter central warehouse was commissioned in the 23rd district of Vienna. On the one hand, a warehouse for the goods of the region is set up, and on the other hand, the fast and efficient supply of the markets of Vienna and the surrounding area is ensured with the complete fleet of four trucks.

More efficiency, less CO2

Items that had previously been transported directly from the producer to each of the organic stores can now be grouped with the new logistics center. This allows the company to further reduce the carbon footprint of its own supply chain and make the processing of the regional product line more efficient for employees and suppliers. Customers benefit from greater choice and better availability of regional products.

With the establishment of its own fleet, the organic market also builds a bridge to the roots of the company: in 1974, the founder of the family business Thomas Greim Products with an Opel Blitz personally to his customers. "Thanks to the new warehouse in Vienna and our own logistics, we can now operate even more regionally and flexibly. Especially for our small suppliers, who only supply a few local markets, this is a great relief and saves many individual transport journeys, "says Mareike Nossol General Manager of dennree Naturkost GmbH, on future development [19659004]]
