Bregenz (APA) – With much applause, the opening of the 73rd Bregenz Festival was completed Wednesday evening. The first Austrian of the rarity of the opera "Berthe Cenci" (1903-1996) by Berthold Goldschmidt (1903-1996), staged in the sixteenth century by Johannes Erath at the Festspielhaus with strong images but without explicit references to present.
The story directed by Patriarch Francesco Cenci (interpreted by Christoph Pohl), who usually buy responsibility for his brutal acts of the church.
