Material Design 2.0 has undergone a major overhaul for Google's Chrome browser shortly before. If you do not want to wait for the release of the live version completed, you can try the current version of the update with the latest version of the experimental Chrome Canary (via Endgadget).
Chrome Canary is a kind of beta version of the Chrome browser, where Google will release future updates for testing purposes earlier than in the standard version of Chrome.
