Dangerous: your Bluetooth is no longer safe!

With Bluetooth absolutely no problem. However, according to researchers at the Technical University of Israel, this wireless connection presents a significant vulnerability. If you want, criminals can handle all the data traffic, read unencrypted messages and manipulate devices!

Bluetooth: no security check

Thanks to cryptographic encryption, Bluetooth connections are usually safe from attackers. However, the CVE-2018-5383 gap ensures that when connecting, called pairing, a security check fails. Exactly this way, the attackers enter the data stream. Affected are many devices from well-known manufacturers such as Apple, Intel or Qualcomm. But do not worry: attackers must be in your immediate vicinity. In addition, both connected devices need these vulnerabilities, otherwise the attack will fail. Early manufacturers like Apple are solving the problem with the updates.
