DFB Cup: Dortmund and Schalke continue to tremble – sports

Pure excitement on Wednesday of the Cup! With 1st FC Cologne, Union Berlin and Holstein Kiel, three second division divisions have offered their clbad top opponents. Holstein Kiel scored a surprise in the second round of the DFB Cup. The North Germans eliminated Bundesliga club SC Freiburg 2-1 (1: 1) from the competition and are therefore for the first time since 2012 in the second round.

The goals in front of 9361 spectators at the Holstein Stadium Nils Petersen scored in the first minute for Freiburg and Janni Sera (26) and David Kinsombi (79) for Kiel.

Borussia Mönchengladbach – Bayer Leverkusen 0: 5 (0: 2)

Bayer Leverkusen continued its upward trend impressively and, as in the previous year, reached the sixteenth-finals of the DFB Cup.
