Tübingen. If curators of the new Kunsthalle art exhibition in Tübingen, Natascha Burger and Nicole Fritz, claim that the daughter of citizen Birgit Jürgenssen, born in Vienna in 1949 and deceased in 2003, was at least initially very shy and shy, we would not believe it. As a teenager, Jürgenssen remains pbadionate about drawing and fabulous, and children's books are full of humor and irony, which even reveals socially critical nuances. And it stayed like that. This Tübingen exhibition clearly shows that Birgit Jürgenssen should be rightly placed alongside these two artists, Maria Lbadnig and Valie Export, who identified the Austrian female avant-garde in the 1970s. of the last century.

At the time, Jürgenssen did not make scandalous cries like Valie Export, because she carried in front of her a specialized shop in the belly, where pbaders-by were allowed to touch briefly her bare bads. No, Jürgenssen does not want to break the taboos with her belly shop, which comes as a "housewife's kitchen apron". Instead, she wants to adopt the traditional model of the three K churches, children, cooking – on the cake and ad absurdum.

Of course, Valie Export, Lbadnig and Co. have also left Jürgenssen's work in depth. But more importantly is the influence of Meret Oppenheim, who became famous around the world thanks to his bowl and who filtered his ingenious works of art surrealism and magical realism.

The particularity of Jürgenssen's artistic practices, however, is the consequence with which she always places her artistic discoveries in relation to the human body. She is constantly experimenting, her body is her field of research. All media, watercolors, images of fabrics, drawings, photographs, art objects, collages, rayograms or finally movies and videos should be used to understand our roles, our relationship with animals, nature and nature. to check the environment.

The results of these body studies can amaze, amaze and disturb: Jürgenssen puts in the window a high heel or a "beautiful bird of prey", she takes a picture "Even with Fellchen", she savor a bird's nest filled with two eggs on his lap, he melts lobster claws with human extremities. But she also condemns the naughty, perverse and funny behaviors of our kind. In a pencil drawing, women are more or less happy when they rub the floor.
