Film project: Carnival fever: the Volksbühne wants to infect everyone

MILS. The Bujaz is dead, he was murdered in the night and the investigation is currently taking place in Mils. Who is the murderer? This could be any who: a friend, an enemy or even the mayor? The unique figure – Bujaz – the Milser Fasnacht not only serves to attract attention, but also to make mystery in a criminal case.

Predecessor in Tyrol

The amateur actors of Volksbühne Mils have in mind the extraordinary idea – as the first Volksbühne of Tyrol – to make a feature film. All the levers were set up to initiate the business. Most of the people working on the project are volunteers. During their working lives, they write e-mails, engrave schnapps or look under the microscope. Even if it is a lot of work, the actors and the organizers have a true Gaudi: It becomes clear at the latest at the PK at Milser Reschenhof. During the presentation of the film, they encouraged each other how well the shoot went. Some scenes are over, others will be filmed until December. Then come the big pieces: The carnival parade film in place. The Volksbühne Mils is not the only one to participate in this project, but also other clubs such as the Matschgerer, the group, the fire department or even the municipal office.
On a budget of 40,000 euros – private sponsors and grants – the film will emerge. Funding is almost guaranteed, donations received are welcome but sincerely, because it is still missing a few thousand euros. The thriller was written by Christian Pittl and written for the theater. However, as the piece was too elaborate for the stage, they thought the same thing was going a step further: Peppi Pittl made the script and his wife Helga Föger-Pittl, director of the Volksbühne for many years.

No play in the spring

The big project is both a refusal to play in the spring. Normally, the Volksbühne plays two pieces each year. For 2019, however, the capabilities will go to the movie "Carnival Fever". The trailer on www.fasnachtsfieber.tirol already gives a "scary taste".
