First flight of the Beluga XL – video of the day –

Welcome to the inaugural flight of the Beluga XL from Airbus. Hundreds of employees and suppliers met Thursday in Toulouse, France, to attend. And who has seen the strange shape of this new Airbus transport aircraft to the maritime name, knows where the name comes from. The first flight of the new cargo plane lasted four hours and eleven minutes. It can carry 53 tons over about 4000 kilometers. At 18.90 meters, it is as tall as a three-story building – and 1.70 meters taller than its predecessor Beluga model.
