The Vienna Film Fund announced a series of grants, including a series that has already been speculated on: "Freud". As reported by the press magazines, for the eight-part thriller series in which a young Sigmund Freud hunt down a serial killer through a sinister Vienna in the late 19th century, not only the ORF but also the giant Netflix streaming are on board. The Vienna Film Fund is financing the project with € 350,000 and in 2015, € 60,000 was spent developing the series from the fund. According to the German industrial media, the ORF will present the series exclusively in Austria, but Netflix will take over internationally – the ORF confirms the cooperation present after the summer. For Netflix, it is not only the first co-production with the ORF, but also the next German series after "Dark".

Total 14 projects received pledges and funds totaling 1.87 million euros were awarded.
